•Alone, A Run Around Qatar (#RunAroundQatar) is a challenge designed by Qatari Resident Pierre Daniel to show residents and nationals the power of the human spirit, raise awareness of the country’s natural beauty and promote healthy living.

The challenge will see Frenchman Pierre Daniel, a resident for over ten years, undertake the first athletic run to circumnavigate Qatar’s border covering over 439 kilometers on foot in no more than seven days. Additionally, during the challenge (on days three to five) Pierre will attempt to set a new official world record for the fastest run North to South in Qatar.

Emir of Qatar riding a bike in Doha

It was National Sports Day celebration yesterday . It looks that the emir of Qatar enjoyed the day by getting on a bike . Cycling is not very common in Qatar . It is considered 1 . hobby for teens , children 2 . the poor Indian's mean of transport . I was very much shocked when I saw this - I come from a country where cycling is so much popular for all !

I am happy to see that the Emir is trying to change the views about cycling ! Hope it means more cycling paths will be built in Qatar !

Cafe Concerto - at Mirqab Mall Courtyard -review

This is a fantastic place because its location is unique in Doha . Right as you enter the main courtyard of the Mirqab Mall you will find the musical fountain projecting high jets of water - sometimes at fancy heart shapes . With the sun getting through the glass ceiling . Uplifting view and the best place from where you can enjoy it is the cafe Concerto .

We had only a mille-feuille - it was nice . They have got a lots of items on the menu that I wish to try .The variety of breakfasts is really impressive : scrambles , English , Continental , Vegetarian , pancakes , waffles and croques but what really impresses me is their afternoon tea . For 88 qr one gets sandwiches , scones , pastry , cakes and one kind of tea from their world selection . It is available all day and it looks very chic .

This is a UK based cafe ...offering international dishes - mainly Italian and French ones .It is expensive . For great occasions - Valentine - it is an excellent choice .
